Yao Ming Retires From Professional Basketball

Houston Rocket Yao Ming announced his retirement from professional basketball on Wednesday.

The 7 foot 6 inch NBA player was the first international player to make the top pick in a draft when picked up by the Rockets in 2002.

His success in the NBA ignited China’s interest in the sport and we’re sure will inspire other international players to follow in his footsteps.

Yao is the richest celebrity in China and, at just 30-years-old, has a bright future ahead of him. We wish Yao the best in what ever future endeavors he embarks upon!
