Lakers Sued For Music Piracy!

Oh Lakers, why?? WHY????

The Lakers are being sued for totally ripping off their Da Da Dad Danta Do, which is a famous charge cheer.
A man named Bobby Kent made the chant all the way back in 1980 when he was the musical director for the San Diego Chargers — and copyrighted it.
He first realized that the Lakers were using it in 2010, so he got a hold of those in charge and they paid him $3k for a one-year license. Which has expired. But they’re still using it.
Now he’s suing! We’d be pissed too!
And get this — Kent wants $150,000 for every time the Lakers used the song since the license allegedly expired! That’s a LOT of money.
We wonder if he’ll win!
We’ll see!
