There are two defendants in the Zumba prostitution scandal in Kennebunk, Maine.
Alexis Wright, the prostitute, and her business partner Mark Strong, the pimp, are being tried separately.
Strong’s lawyers tried to have his case dismissed on the grounds authorities didn’t turn over evidence to the defense and that the cops didn’t provide proper evidence when seeking search warrants for the dance studio/sex parlor.
The judge was all “nope!” and the trial is on!!
The 57-year-old businessman is accused of conspiring with Alexis in running the prostitution scheme out of her Zumba studio.
He is scheduled to go on trial January 22 on charges of promotion of prostitution, violation of privacy and conspiracy to commit those crimes we just mentioned.
We’re sure some of it will stick and we wouldn’t be surprised if he has to do some jail time.
Do the crime, do the time!
