Greenpeace Tricks Oil Execs Into Anti-Oil Meeting

greenpeace-logo-trick-oil.jpg
About 18 oil executives from companies including BP, Shell and Statoil were tricked into watching a 15-minute power-point presentation about environmental concerns over drilling in Greenland.
Several Greenpeace activists dressed up in suits and went to an actual seminar hosted by Greenland’s Raw Materials Directorate, at Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen.
The undercover activists waited in the elevator until the businessmen arrived and then told them that the meeting had moved to a different room.
A room that was secretly rented by Greenpeace.
So instead of learning how they could become involved in oil and gas exploration in the Arctic, they received pretty much the opposite message.
Maybe it was the suits, maybe the hot coffee and the pastries, but whatever it was, the oil execs didn’t realize that the presentation was an anti-oil presentation by Greenpeace until it was all over!
The activists thanked the executives for their time then left the building to join the rest of the more-obvious Greenpeace protestors outside.
Wow!
Sounds like a real-life Mission Impossible scenario that actually worked!
Way to go, guys!
