We had no idea!
On tonight’s 20/20 special Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon open up about the miscarriage that inspired Mariah to change her lifestyle.
Mimi said it was “really tough,” but the experience taught her to be more Zen-like. She gives her new state of mind and use of fertility treatments the credit for her new twins Moroccan and Monroe (sorry Nick!).
Mimi tells Barbara Walters:
“The main thing I did that was tough, was to go on progesterone like every month… and then when I was pregnant, I had to stay with the progesterone for 10 weeks. It minimizes the chance of miscarriage by 50 percent.”
Now Mimi is mommy to two “incredible” 6-month-old baybays! Carey tries not to brag, however she adds, ├óΓé¼┼ôI will say that they really respond to music.├óΓé¼┬¥
Yay! Little Butterfly Jrs! We would love to announce their plans do a duet album, but papa Nick would rather they stay clear of the entertainment industry. He says:
“I want them to be able to sing as beautifully as their mother. I want them to be able to play instruments and everything. But I want them like ├óΓé¼┬ª ├óΓé¼╦£Go get a Ph.D”
BOOO! Jk! We’re just glad we got to finally see them!
