They have the same DNA, but different gender identification.
Wayne, starting going by the name Nicole since she was in the fourth grade. She always knew she wanted to be a girl. When Nicole was 4-years-old she asked her mother “when do I get to be a girl?” and told her father she hated her penis.
Now at age 14 Nicole is 5-feet, 1-inch tall and 100 pounds; her twin brother Jonas is 5-feet, 6-inches and weighs 115 pounds — and they are absolute bffs!!
Though it hasn’t been easy heir parents, Wayne and Kelly Maines have been in total support of their daughter. However, they worry that putting transgender daughter into the spotlight may also put her in danger from bigots and extremists.
Their father Wayne, a political conservative, said his “biggest concern” was the safety of his son and daughter.
It’s amazing to hear a story of love and expectance!
Nicole is so lucky to be born into such an amazing family!!
