This story gets sadder and sadder!
Though we all knew it, there is now proof that Josh Powell intentionally killed his two sons when he set his home on fire.
Police discovered something horrible and disgusting: though it was the fire that claimed them, Powell used a hatchet to try to kill his two young sons before igniting the gasoline he’d spread throughout his home.
An investigator with the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office says:
Charlie and Braden Powell died from carbon monoxide poisoning. But 5-year-old Braden also suffered chop injuries to his head and neck. His 7-year- old brother, Charlie, suffered a chop injury to his neck.
SO sick!!
Still, there’s more proof that this plan had been in the works for a while. According to our source:
E-mails were sent not just to his attorney, but to friends and family foreshadowing his plans; and the children’s toys were given away by Powell before his children’s arrival.
SO sad!! How can a father do that to his sons??
His brother-in-law thinks he knows why, but we’ll never know for sure.
We hope those boys are in a much better place now, FAR away from their deranged father!!
