How Felicity Huffman Handles Kids In Summertime

Everyone knows that it IS possible to have too much of a good thing.
As a parent, Felicity Huffman knows about the pain in the summertime of having your kids around too much.
Here’s an awesome highlight from her blog:

“I always look forward to summertime. We don├óΓé¼Γäót have the daily grind of school routines, and we can all just relax and be a family together. But, after about 2 weeks of vacation, the panic sets in of: ├óΓé¼┼ôWHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY KIDS?!├óΓé¼┬¥ Then, after about a month has gone by, the silent cry begins: ├óΓé¼┼ôI can├óΓé¼Γäót wait for school to start! Who knew August was 60 days long!├óΓé¼┬¥
Okay, first of all let├óΓé¼Γäós give ourselves a break about all the computers, video games, and T.V watching that some of our children do during school vacations. We live in a digital world, and a big part of summer fun is getting to relax and watch a movie in the daytime, play Wii Bowling with your neighbor, or dink around on the computer.”

Here, here!
Of course we think kids should DEFINITELY get out more than some do, but at the same time – we think kids should WANT to go out instead of feeling like they’re being forced to go outside.
