Holly Robinson Peete: My Family Wasn't Dramatic Enough For Reality TV

Holly Robinson Peete is a good mom, but she’s no fool!
So when a production company offered her good money to base a reality show around her family – she figured why not.
But the lack of drama in her family ended that dream real fast.
Here’s what she said:

“We’ve been approached many times and we actually shot a pilot for [a reality show]. The feedback was like, ‘Maybe you guys are a little too happy.’ I think they need a little bit more drama so I might need to flip some tables. I told my kids the good news is we’re pretty good. We have our problems just like everybody else but the reality show world is a slippery slope so maybe it’s better that we don’t.”

Judging by the families on reality television – we think she is right in thinking her family is better off without the cameras following their every move.
But hey that’s just our opinion!
Although we do think it was a compliment that the family wasn’t dramatic enough for reality television.
