Credit cards are awful, but if you use them correctly, they can build you awesome credit which you can then use to do things like buy a nice home! The thing is, though, you have to have the willpower to use them correctly!
Cuttino Mobley doesn’t have that willpower!
After signing a five-year contract for $42 million in 2005, Cuttino decided that he was going to rack up $95,846.62 on his credit card instead.
If his plan was to charge up that amount and then pay the balance the next month, it would’ve been a smart move. Instead, he just hasn’t paid it at all, so now he’s looking at a lawsuit!!
We’re not shocked at all to hear that Mobley is now disputing the charges, claiming someone else used his card without permission. It’s a weird way of saying someone stole your card — because it sounds nothing like someone stealing your card. We bet he won’t be let off the hook!
Whomp whomp!
