Rick Ross has been the center of controversy due to some offensive lyrics on his new track, U.O.E.N.O., and so far he’s done about everything but offer a real apology.
In the song in question, the rapper describes a DISGUSTING scene in which he slips a drug into a woman’s drink and then has sex with her without her knowledge. Basically, he’s bragging about date rape.
Rick has offered a weak explanation for the song, claiming that because he never uses the word “rape,” he obviously isn’t condoning rape. Sorry, but we’re not buying it.
The rapper has now taken to Twitter to offer an extremely half-assed apology, saying:
I dont condone rape.Apologies for the #lyric interpreted as rape. #BOSS

Seriously?? “Interpreted” as rape?
How else were we supposed to “interpret” your lyrics Mr. Ross?
Once again, the rapper isn’t taking responsibility for his heinous words and is instead blaming us, the audience, for misunderstanding him.
The song has already caused outrage amongst the public, and an organization called UltraViolet has even collected over 50,000 signatures to petition for his removal from the Rebook brand.
It’s time for Rick to man up and offer a REAL apology for his extremely offensive lyrics.
