Jennifer Lopez: A Perfect Family Just Doesn't Exist!

Jennifer Lopez has been around the block a few times.
So we trust her opinion on things!
And she thinks it’s messed up how people assume they know what a perfect family is!
How could they know what it is, she asks, if it doesn’t exist?!
Here’s what she had to say on the subject:

“You can’t keep spoon-feeding the idea of what the perfect family is. It just doesn’t exist. Even myself, I have two kids, their dad doesn’t live at home with us. I’m divorced. They have four stepbrothers and sisters from two other moms. It’s not traditional. We all wish we had that fairy tale thing in our heads. But when it doesn’t come true for children they shouldn’t have to think, Oh, I don’t have the mom and the dad, the perfect three kids and a dog. There’s something wrong with me.”

J Love didn’t just start talking about the myth of the perfect family out of nowhere – she brought up its non-existence while talking about her new show The Fosters.
