Like everyone in the world, we were super saddened to learn of James Gandolfini‘s passing last night, and beyond realizing the world had lost an astounding actor, everyone’s minds shifted to his kids losing an incredible father.
In almost every interview, you would hear him mention or bring up his kids in one way or another — and it was always heartwarming. He left behind a 13-year-old son, who he was on a ├óΓé¼┼ôboys trip├óΓé¼┬¥ with in Italy when he passed. He also had an 8-month-old daughter, Liliana Ruth, who he had with his second wife, Deborah Lin.
Here’s what one of his fellow actors and friend, Gilles Marini, said:
I am heartbroken. My bud James Gandolfini just died. Last Saturday he told me at our kids graduation ghat he was so happy to go with his son to Italy. A boy trip! It was an honor to have met this man, such a great Dad!
We can’t even handle this. Everything we’ve ever heard about James was about how much of caring and kind soul he was. This world was much better when he was a part of it.
Our hearts go out to his family!
