To us, Tiger Woods is one of the best golf players on the planet. But to his son Charlie, he’s just dad!!
The superstar golfer put on another stellar performance this weekend when he won the Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational by seven strokes, and after his victory, we got to see a much softer side of him!
After claiming his 79th PGA Tour win, Tiger celebrated the moment but embracing his son and said it was a very special moment for the two of them:
“Sam├óΓé¼Γäós been there when I├óΓé¼Γäóve won tournaments, Charlie hasn├óΓé¼Γäót been there yet, so this was his first time. I think it├óΓé¼Γäós pretty special for both of us.”
How precious!!!
Tiger went on to say that his kids always try to keep track of their daddy throughout his tournaments, but he noted that his son is FINALLY old enough to fully understand what’s going on:
“This week was nice. I was able to get the lead and I held it, and it was awfully special for me to have him here to witness it because he understands it now. He understands when I make birdie, when I make par, and he understands the difference.”
This is definitely one of the first times we’ve seen a more tender side of Tiger, and we can easily get used to it!
There’s nothing like watching an athlete let their guard down and share a moment with their children, and hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of this in the future!
