Lamar Odom‘s worries don’t stop at infidelity and being on the brink of losing Khloe Kardashian — no, they go deeper, and drugs are allegedly to blame.
We didn’t really get the whole scope of things from what we had heard before (though it has become clearer and clearer), but it sounds like the reported intervention held for him was the right move!
According to sources, Lamar has been wading through drugs since the Lakers, through the Mavericks, and still just recently. Sources from a Westin hotel in Memphis have revealed that before Lamar was cut from the Mavs, he stayed with them while playing the Grizzlies — and when he left, the carpets were DESTROYED.
We’re talking burn marks (quarter sized) and damage so extensive that the hotel had to replace all of it. They also found white powder on the desk blotter and the whole place smelled like smoke, with sources saying that heavy drug use was easily apparent.
That’s just the beginning. According to NUMEROUS hotels used by NBA teams on the road have said that Lamar’s rooms were always left in an awful state, including when he was with the Lakers. Sources say that when he was with the Mavs, Lamar was smoking Oxycontin and cocaine.
Honestly, we would rather Lamar get the help that he needs than to see his whole life destroyed by substance, fidelity, and marriage issues. If that could be under control, maybe the rest will fall in place!
