This is incrediballs!!
Black rhinos are CRITICALLY endangered!
So the fact that a baby was just born into captivity is absolutely ahmayzing!!
A baby black rhino was just born at the Lincoln Park Zoo last week and is the first black rhino born there since 1989.
The little baby is currently bonding with his mama.
The zoo’s curator of mammals said:
“The calf and his 8-year-old mother, Kapuki, are doing wonderfully. The calf joins three adult black rhinos, including his mother, at the zoo. The calf divides his time between nursing, following mom around, and napping, and that is exactly what a baby rhino should be doing.”
So he’s happy, healthy and under good care! That’s great!!
Check out the video (above) to see the little cutie just adorbzing around!
