After 30 years of self-imposed exile, director Roman Polanski‘s appeal to have his rape charges dropped was challenged by prosecutors.

In documents containing some of the most graphic descriptions of Polanski’s sexual activity with a 13-year-old to date, prosecutors say that Polanski’s appeal should be denied outright since Polanski’s tired claims of judicial misconduct cannot be heard out until he returns to the States.

Polanski’s lawyers argue that the matter can be discussed without the filmmaker’s presence.

In 1977, Polanski pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct with a minor.

In the famous case, Polanski pled guilty to drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl who was modeling for a photo shoot. Fleeing the trial, Polanski has lived in France for the past 30 years.
