What the whaaa???
This is both tragic and EXTREMELY hard to believe, for obvious reasons!
But apparently it’s true, as reports tell the tragic tale of a man identified as Tao Hsiao, who went shopping with his girlfriend over the weekend at the Golden Eagle Shopping Complex in Xuzhou. After a plethora of expensive purchases, she wanted to check out one more shoe store. As a response to her suggestion, the man allegedly jumped over a barrier from 7 stories up and landed in the mall├óΓé¼Γäós atrium.
He crashed into a display counter, and it’s believed that he died on impact.
An eyewitness described the situation as follows:
“He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more. She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument.”
Witness claim this occurred on a busy Saturday, with many people in the vicinity of the calamity. The man was believed to be 38 years old.
We are SHOCKED to hear that this is what shopping was reduced to for someone!
The holiday season is meant to be a time of thoughtfulness and giving, not tragedy and death due to shopping stress.
SO sad.
