That’s a low blow!
New mama Kate Winslet is only trying to spend time with her new baby these days.
But a new ad campaign by Fathers4Justice have attacked the award winning actress for comments she made a long time ago!
The ad, which you can see (below), features a b/w photo of Kate Winslet and says underneath:
“Kate, every child deserves a father this Christmas.”
The ad is referencing a quote she made a while back when talking about her and her ex Sam Mendes‘ kids!
Here’s what she said:
“My kids don’t go back and forth; none of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads – my children live with me, that is it.”
What’s kind of awesome though is that the first person who defended Kate was her ex husband – Sam Mendes!
He said:
“It is inappropriate for this organization to involve my family and I when they know nothing of our personal circumstances. Whilst I fully support fathers’ rights, I can happily state this has never been a concern for me or my son.”
Fathers4Justice though have said this about their billboards:
“We are running this advert as part of a campaign to highlight the sensitive issue of four million children waking up on Christmas Day without their father. It is clear from what Kate says that she does not support ├óΓé¼╦£shared parenting├óΓé¼Γäó.├óΓé¼┬¥
Nope that’s not clear at all!
But – hey – it’s your money!
You can waste it anyway you please!
Kate Winslet declined to comment upon the story for her part — like a boss!
