Phil Robertson is a firm believer in the definition of marriage being between one man, one woman…and no ring?!?
The 67-year-old Duck Dynasty star has been married to his wife Miss Kay for 50 years but he never put any bling on her left hand, until now!
His missus opened up the sparkler above on Christmas and smiled for the camera as granddaughter Sadie Robertson snapped a picture.
She shared their special moment on Twitter with a caption that read:
“After 50 years of marriage Papaw Phil finally gave Mamaw Kay a wedding ring for Christmas.├óΓé¼┬¥
Phil is of course currently suspended from his A&E reality show after making anti-gay comments in GQ magazine. He’s since been spouting further hate speech, comparing homosexuals to adulterers and liars.
We’re happy that Phil and Miss Kay found each other though. And we’re even happier that same-sex couples in 18 states can now put a ring on it as well!
