It all comes out in the wash!
Lily Allen has two beautiful children named Ethel, 2, and 11-month-old Marnie, but she has a lot less friends since she got pregnant!
That’s because they totally began to bully and ostracize her once the singer was knocked up – and, naturally, it was really disheartening for Lily!
After she “retired” four years ago to have babies, she bounced back on the music scene just a couple years later, all while losing some fake friends in the process.
In a recent interview with Esquire magazine for their upcoming February issue, she revealed in a very honest interview how her so-called “pals” treated her during toughest times:
“I thought the people in that showbiz circle were my friends, but almost the second I got pregnant and I wasn├óΓé¼Γäót able to go out and party, they were suddenly quite nasty.
There├óΓé¼Γäós a way that those people survive and it├óΓé¼Γäós not by being nice. The way they make themselves feel powerful is to ostracize other people. I feel blessed to be able to recognize that, but at the same time it can still feel pretty s**t when you walk into a room full of people and you can feel the eyes looking at you and people laughing.”
These disgusting bullying tactics became too much for her, which is a BIG reason why Lily decided to take a break from the music business to focus on her family!
Here’s what she said:
“I was at the end of my tether. I├óΓé¼Γäód had enough of people constantly hacking at me. And I think once you├óΓé¼Γäóre exhausted physically and mentally, it does get you down. I feel like when I was growing up and dreaming of being a pop star, it was the days of Britpop when things felt authentic and anarchic and people were taking drugs and having a lot of fun and having sex with each other. So excuse me if I found it a bit disappointing when I arrived and it was a bunch of sterile f***ing Botoxed idiots that stank of desperation.”
We are so glad that Lily hasn’t let her self esteem become affected by people who were hating on her shizz!
She’s WAY too talented and beautiful to let that happen! And, besides, we all know that if you’re a TRUE friend of hers, then you’re definitely one of her b-tches!
And while all those former friends are snickering behind Lily’s back – this lady is spending time with her family slash children!
