Sounds like SOMEone didn’t fully read her in-flight safety manual!
Jenny Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s niece, boarded a plane in Barcelona a few days ago in hopes of making it back home to New York.
But due to her own drunken and abusive behavior on the flight, the plane had to be grounded in Ireland for the safety of everyone on board!!!
Whaa?? She must’ve been stirring up a LOT of trouble for that to happen!
A Delta rep released the following statement on the situation:
“On January 6, the crew of Delta flight 477 from Barcelona to New York-JFK followed established procedures and diverted to Shannon, Ireland to have law enforcement address an unruly passenger. There were 216 customers onboard the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. I cannot speak to details of the reported unruly behavior and will defer to law enforcement and other officials.”

According to the Irish Times, Jenny is being charged with:
├óΓé¼┼ôEngaging in behaviour of a threatening, abusive or insulting nature, being intoxicated to such an extent as would give rise to a reasonable apprehension that you might endanger yourself or other persons…behaviour likely to cause serious offence or annoyance.├óΓé¼┬¥
Hmmm…so it sounds like her behaviour could├óΓé¼Γäóve ranged anywhere from seriously annoying to potentially dangerous!
We’re guessing it was closer to the latter if they had to ground an entire plane with 216 passengers on board!
Bet Uncle Ralph wasn’t too pleased to hear that!
