The idea behind the Dumb Starbucks in Los Feliz, California has entranced hundreds of thousands of people across the globe — and has even caught the wrath of the real Starbucks, who doesn’t even have a sense of humor.

The guy BEHIND Dumb Starbucks really does have a sense of humor, though, and his name is…
Nathan Fielder (above)!
He’s a comedian with a show on Comedy Central, and he DID have a successful Starbucks parody business, but it has since had to stop everything despite him saying they’d be open through Friday!
Boo!
It was actually the Department of Health that moved in to halt them from serving coffee, NOT corporate lawyers! Though, who wants to bet the Health Department was tipped off by clever lawyers? Maybe a little grease on the wheels??
We can speculate!
At a press conference he held in front of the location, Nathan was asked why he did it. He said:
“The American dream. I like Starbucks. I appreciate everything they do.”
LOLz!
What a wild ride — but we think the bus stops here… even though Nathan also said he wanted to expand into Brooklyn!
Knowing who’s behind it kinda ruins the fun, though!
