Wow! We’re so glad no one was seriously injured because that looks like one heck of a wreck!
Danica Patrick was leading the pack at one point, almost tasting how close victory could have been at NASCAR’s Daytona 500, when things suddenly spun out of control. Literally.
During lap 146 of the 500 lap race, Kevin Harvick in car 4 bumped into Brian Scott in car 33. After that, the dominoes began falling and cars started smashing.
After a few collisions, Aric Almirola in car 43 shot across the track and slammed into Danica, which made her lose control.
It sent her slamming into the wall pretty hard and through her incredible driving skills she was able to keep her car from spinning out.
She eventually got her destroyed vehicle to the inside of the track, out of the way of the other drivers.
Things looked pretty darn bad, watching the cars from far away… but from inside the car?
Danica really gets knocked around good, she’s lucky she didn’t get seriously injured. The in-car footage is pretty brutal!
