Delta Air Lines' Ignorant Breastfeeding Policy Explodes Twitter!

Delta screwed up royally with a dumb breastfeeding policy comment on Twitter and everybody came down on them at the same time!
If you know anything about social media and the current climate of the whole breastfeeding in public debate, you should know one thing:
Women should be allowed to breastfeed in public. (Because it’s totally legal.)
Even if you disagree or are weirded out by beautiful boobies, don’t voice your opinion publicly without expecting TONS of backlash.
Lindsay Jaynes, using the Twitter handle @ClassicHippie, tweeted to @DeltaAssist asking about the airline’s breastfeeding policy.
She has a 10-week-old son who needs to eat every two hours and won’t feed from a bottle or breastfeed under a cover. So she didn’t have much of an option when she booked her 6-hour-long Delta flight.
When she asked if she was able to breastfeed on the flight she was told no, she couldn’t. Even though that’s super illegal.
So the conversation continued:
Delta screwed up royally with a dumb breastfeeding policy comment on Twitter and everybody came down on them at the same time!
Lindsay had to continue to explain that her baby will not feed with a bottle or a cover. There is no option.
After Twitter absolutely exploded with rage, with tweeters like @TheLeakyBoob coming down hard on @Delta, they finally released an apology:
Delta screwed up royally with a dumb breastfeeding policy comment on Twitter and everybody came down on them at the same time!
That’s barely an apology but it is better than nothing.
Hopefully, because of Lindsay Jaynes’ struggle, other mothers won’t have to endure any breastfeeding policy ignorance.
Glad everything worked out in the end. Hooray for boobies!!
