History was made this week in Washington as for the first time ever, the phrase “knocked up” was used during an official Congressional hearing!
LOLz!
Seth Rogen sat in front of a microphone on Capitol Hill yesterday to speak about an issue that is very near and dear to his heart.
No, not legalizing marijuana, shockingly enough.
Seth was there to talk about Alzheimer’s research.
His mother-in-law suffers from the disease, and he and his wife have seen her slip away before their eyes – forgetting how to speak, eat, or even get to the bathroom on her own.
Seth opened up about how hard his experiences have been and how having Alzheimer’s in his family lead him to start his own charity, Hilarity for Charity.
Srsly, we went back and forth from cracking up to crying our eyes out while watching his testimony!
Unfortunately, the funny man only had TWO Senators show up to hear him speak!
Bluuuugh! Why are we not surprised that members of Congress suck at doing their jobs?
Seth voiced his disappointment on Twitter afterwards, tweeting:
All those empty seats are senators who are not prioritizing Alzheimer's. Unless more noise is made, it won't change. pic.twitter.com/xDW6tlMHmH

We want change! This is such a serious issue that needs to be given MUCH more attention!
