When Natalie Portman heard they were making a new Star Wars movie, she was super stoked!
Then she remembered her character was dead.
The Thor: The Dark World star told J.J. Abrams just how bummed she was that she wouldn’t be on board Episode 7. She said:
“I am so excited about them. I think J.J. Abrams is such a talent and I can’t wait to see what he does.
I am only sorry that my character died, which means I can’t be in them. I saw him somewhere and I said, ‘How did this happen? I can’t believe I’m not going to be in the new movie.'”
Who says you can’t come back, gurl?
Maybe Padme recorded a hologram message for her grandkids. “Help me, Obi, Juan, Kenobi. You’re my only hope. Here’s a Hallmark card with a check for three dollars and fifty cents.”
Or maybe she could come back as a different character. Just slap some prosthetic makeup on that pretty face, and gurl could play the galaxy’s shortest Wookiee.
We just hate to see Natalie sad.
