The-Dream may have turned himself into police, but he is NOT pleading guilty! In fact, he has one of the most original defenses we’ve ever heard!
The producer-singer is accused of strangling his girlfriend Lydia Nam back in April of 2013 – at which time she was PREGNANT!
But The-Dream says he didn’t do it! So why would his ex falsely accuse him of felony assault? Easy. She’s an alien.
Um, come again?
No, she’s not a space alien! The-Dream is referring to her status as a Canadian living on American soil. And her visa is apparently about to expire!
The-American-Dream says gurl is only starting a legal kerfuffle to legally stay in the US of A. A special dispensation is made for crime victims.
But Miss Nam is sticking to her story. In fact, sources close to the alleged victim say this was NOT an isolated incident but rather a pattern of abuse.
We hope the court is able to get to the bottom of this.
