Some truly terrifying audio is being released today from the 9-1-1 call that occurred just moments after tennis star James Blake’s Florida home burst into flames.
A woman can be heard on the tape frantically explaining to the emergency responder that she was walking her dogs at 5:40 AM when the house suddenly exploded.
The passerby knew that there was a family inside and pleaded with the operator to send fire crews as soon as possible. She can be heard crying throughout the call.
Authorities have now identified the people who were inside the house as Darrin Campbell, 49, his wife Kimberly, 51, and their teenage children Colin, 19, and Megan, 16. James Blake had been renting out the house to this family and was not there at the time of the fire.
Police are now investigating whether this tragedy could have actually been a murder-suicide, since accelerants were clearly used.
