In a very short amount of time, we’ve seen videos of Justin Bieber talking about killing “n-words,” joining the KKK, and telling a racist “joke!”
But enough of the Biebsy’s blunder! What does Usher think of all this?
In a recent interview, Usher, Justin’s mentor, responded to all the recent controversy, as well as the Bieberoni’s longstanding trouble with getting into trouble:
“I gave every bit of advice and always told him it was up to him if he really wanted this. Now that he has it, as an adult, it’s his to manage. Do I turn my head in shame based off of what I see, what I know? Nah, I don’t because it’s all part of life’s process. Am I in it with him. Yeah…It’s unfortunate. I hate some of the things I hear. Is it all true? I don’t know. But I will tell you this: Success comes with a price. Every person that has grown up, grows up with something. It ain’t just perfect from the beginning.”
It is nice of Usher to kind of contextualize these awful remarks that were made by a really young Justin who may or may not have not known better.
Nice of him? Yes. Necessary of him? No.
It still does not make what he said okay by any means. His remarks were some of the worst things we’ve heard come out of his mouth, and he’s had a busy year with making heinous trips of the tongue.
We’re still shocked that Justin would say/sing some of the awful things he’s said/sung.
