Goodbye forever, awful Donald Sterling! There’s a new owner in town and he’s totally NOT a racist!
Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has officially bought the Los Angeles Clippers, after the sale was held up in court for awhile by Sterling.
The pricetag was steep though, at $2 billion! Basically, he made an offer that they couldn’t refuse!
However, the decision to allow the sale is a tentative ruling by the judge, who will need to issue a final order, and the NBA’s board of governors needs to vote to approve the sale as well.
But from the looks of everything, it’s going to be a-okay!
There’s also the issue of moving the Clippers now. Previously, Ballmer said that Seattle deserves to have a team, but in light of actually getting the Clippers, he’s reiterated that he has no plans to move them!
So, congratulations Clippers fans! Your former sucky owner is gone!
