Ever think about a favorite food or beverage from long ago, wondering what it’d be like to taste the sweet nostalgia again?
Well thanks to a Facebook campaign, fans of the old soft drink Surge are celebrating.
Coca-Cola is bringing it back!
Surge was launched in 1996 to compete with Pepsi‘s Mountain Dew and faded into nonexistence by the early 2000s.
But its fans never faded away! They started a Facebook group called “SURGE Movement” and it was all about trying to get Coke to bring back Surge.
Well it totally worked! That’s right, the group actually got Coke to bring back the beloved beverage! It was only in a limited supply and only on Amazon.com. It sold out in about an hour!!
As of this writing, Surge is still currently unavailable but you can sign up to be notified when it does come back around.
Maybe this will open the floodgates an Facebook campaigns will start bringing back ALL of our favorite, nostalgic food items! One can only hope….
