Wow, we’re seriously impressed!
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard‘s 18-month-old daughter, Lincoln, knows SIGN LANGUAGE.
Considering babies don’t start forming two-to four-word sentences until 18 to 24 months in, Lincoln’s sign language skills are truly amazing!

Kristen gushed of her baby’s inspiring feat:
“Lincoln can say a lot of two-syllable words, but she signs mostly because she’s really good at it.”
While we were impressed to hear that Lincoln can sign, we wondered why Kristen and Dax decided to teach their baby sign language.
Bell explained:
“People recommend doing signs because the baby can communicate with you and say, ‘I want an apple’ or ‘Look at the black dog,’ and you can actually form sentences.”
What a great reason to teach your baby sign language — we think it’s amazing that Lincoln can communicate with her mama minus words!
We sure hope Kristen and Dax will teach baby number 2 sign language! We can’t even begin to imagine how cute it would be for Lincoln to sign with her little brother or sister!
