Eli Manning Has Had It With The Domestic Violence In The NFL

Eli Manning is used to leading his team on the field.
Now, the New York Giants QB is leading a new campaign denouncing domestic violence and sexual assault.
Manning and two dozen current and former NFL players filmed spots for a new public service announcement that debuted today and will air during Thursday Night Football games this season.
Their message is so simple, it’s only two words …
“No More.”
The PSA calls for an end to the domestic violence and sexual assault — and the excuses for those heinous crimes.

Several of those involved in the campaign have personally been affected by the crimes, including NFL exec Troy Vincent, whose mom was a victim of domestic violence, and Steelers cornerback William Gay, whose mother died at the hands of her abusive boyfriend.

Recent cases of domestic violence involving athletes include Ray Rice, who was caught on tape knocking out his then-fiancée in an elevator, and sprinter Oscar Pistorius, who was sentenced to five years in prison for killing his girlfriend.
The No More Project promos were produced by the Joyful Heart Foundation, not the NFL. The NFL, which was criticized for its lenient reaction to Rice’s assault, is expected to announced its new domestic violence and sexual assault policy in November.
