Can you believe The Sound Of Music was released 50 years ago?!
We can’t either!
The magical musical still holds up to this day! So it’s no surprise that The Academy decided to pay tribute to this cinematic classic.
Scarlett Johansson beautifully set up the homage that was followed by a performance by Lady GaGa.
The 28-year-old performed a medley of the film’s most well-known songs.
And afterward, there was even a surprise appearance by the film’s iconic lead actress Julie Andrews!
A fitting praise for an unforgettable film! To see the performance, ch-ch-check out the clip (above)!
