Ughhh…
As you’ve probably heard by now, everyone’s favorite Clueless actress appeared on The Meredith Vieria Show on Wednesday when the topic of gender equality came up.
Stacey Dash was quick to point out that there really isn’t such a thing as gender pay gap and that people are just making up excuses.
Even though Meredith and a ton of other outlets pointed out that it’s proven that women only make 77 cents compared to every dollar made by a man, the right-wing pundit has continued to defend her stance.
Following her episode of Meredith, Stacey took to Twitter to voice her opinion, saying:
I am not ANTI-WOMAN! I just don’t believe that my gender needs a bunch of men in Congress to “save us” from the big bad world.

I am so proud that my FRIEND @meredithvieira & I have sparked an HONEST debate. NOT just a grandstanding Oscar speech http://t.co/o1Vsv7ye5j

The 77 cents vs a dollar is based on B.S. statistics. STOP USING IT. CELEBRATE that EDUCATED women in their 20’s now make more than men!

I DON’T CARE IF I AM THE LONE VOICE IN THE WOODS, I WILL NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT MAKE WOMEN AN ENTITLEMENT CLASS. #HOLDINGTHELINE

We think the issue is that Stacey just doesn’t understand the problem.
Meredith was saying that a man would get paid higher for doing the exact same job as a woman, not that there aren’t women in the work force getting paid bank.

Maybe Stacey could actually look into the statistics of gender inequality and then we can continue the discussion…
