After weeks of unrest in Baltimore, sparked by the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody, it looks like protesters may finally be getting a modicum of the justice they seek.
Baltimore’s Chief prosecutor Marilyn Mosby announced Friday morning that the police WILL be held responsible for Gray’s death.

The 25-year-old suffered a spinal injury during his April 12 arrest, and Mosby says officers’ failure to get him necessary medical attention OR to explain why he was being arrested OR how he received the injury were sufficient to warrant criminal charges.
A single officer faces second degree murder (depraved indifference) charges, while the others are being charged with manslaughter, second-degree assault, misconduct in office, and false imprisonment.
