Well, this was a big mistake!
The NFL debuted their “Color Rush” jerseys on Thursday night for a game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.
The Bills — who were clad head to toe in red uniforms — and the Jets — who similarly wore green over every inch of their bodies — put together the best worst most bizarre Christmas-like display of football we think we’ve ever seen, and it didn’t go over so well with fans!

Of course the red and green from Thursday’s game elicited a Christmas-themed response all over social media, but a backlash formed that the league apparently didn’t anticipate: color blind people were HATING this game!

According to the NFL, though, the “Color Rush” uniforms are here to stay: all 32 teams in the league will have a special solid-colored uniform in 2016 for certain games.

And while Christmas-themed jerseys are one thing — completely forgetting about colorblind people is a bad move by the NFL — the next Color Rush game looks like it’s just going to be all-out ugly:
