Another story of a CEO showing their true colors and saying something offensive, leading to backlash against the company…
Only, Sam’s Club President and CEO Rosalind Brewer is a black woman, and she was caught talking about increasing diversity in the workplace!

In an interview on CNN last week, Brewer spoke about how she’s trying to lead the charge for moe diversity in the boardroom:
“My executive team is very diverse and I make that a priority. I demand it within my team.”
She went on to talk about mentoring women — and speaking to other companies about increasing their own diversity:
“Just today we met with a supplier, and the entire other side of the table was all Caucasian male… I’m going to place a call to him.”
Some see Brewer’s statement — and actions — as racist against white males.

Instead of viewing the CEO’s push for diversity as progressive and in support of equality, customers think her practices are out of hatred for white men!
They’re even calling for a boycott:

We can hardly believe this is a real scandal. Frankly, we wish we could boycott these protesters…
