Steven Avery has spent most of his life behind bars, but that isn’t about to make him any less confident that he’ll eventually get a retrial.
The 53-year-old public figure has divided the country ever since Netflix‘s Making a Murderer premiered, detailing his potential involvement in the death of Teresa Halbach.

Whether you think Steven and Brendan Dassey are actually guilty, it’s impossible not to question the validity of the trial, mostly due to police incompetence and planted evidence.
Luckily, Steven just hired a new attorney named Kathleen Zellner who specializes in wrongful convictions, and he’s now speaking out directly to his supporters for the first time through her!
In a letter straight out of prison from over the weekend, Steven informed his fans of his upcoming legal plans, saying:
