Oh no!
Lena Dunham couldn’t be more excited for the fifth season of Girls to premiere on HBO later this month!
But unfortunately the 29-year-old won’t be doing press for the upcoming season due to health reasons.
On Monday, the actress took to Instagram to explain that she was skipping out on the press tour for her dramedy series because of a “rough patch” with her illness.

Dunham explained she is living with endometriosis — a chronic disorder that affects a woman’s reproductive health — and was told by doctors to rest until her condition improves.
She thanked exec producers Jennifer Konner and Judd Apatow for their “support and backup,” and made it clear she wouldn’t take this hiatus for granted — as so many women battling the disease “literally don’t have the option” of taking time off.
We’re glad the writer is taking the time to rest up when her body needs it the most. Feel better, girl!
