This is just horrible.
On Sunday, Zachary Penton was arrested for the second-degree murder of his roommate, Daniel Garofalo, who had been shot and killed during a fight.
The craziest part about this horrible story is that only the day before, the 21-year-old had taken to Twitter to jokingly threaten to “viciously murder” the people he lived with.

The Arizona man apparently posted:
I need to move out of my place before I viciously murder my roommates

In the moment, that surely seemed like a joke, since pretty much everyone gets irritated with their roommates at one point or another.
But in light of the 41-year-old’s death, it’s pretty chilling.
And what was so upsetting that the Gilbert resident needed to vent on social media just one day before the fatal fight? He explained:
@Zac_Penton they literally just got into a drunk fight after one of them was stung by a bee, like wtf

Police say the argument that resulted in Daniel’s murder began after Zachary was told to move out. The alleged killer claims he was fearful for his safety when he fatally shot his roommate.
Authorities say he called the cops afterward to admit to shooting Mr. Garofalo. Daniel was pronounced dead when officers arrived.
Penton was arrested without any incident, and is facing charges for second-degree murder. His bond has been set at $750,000.
