Such a horrible disaster!
On Wednesday, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck near the town of Umbria, Italy killing at least 159 people, including two babies. More civilians are believed to be trapped under rubble.
That same day, Lily Allen revealed on social media that she narrowly escaped the natural disaster when she had to leave the city for a personal emergency.
When a concerned fan tweeted the singer, she wrote back saying her and her family are safe.
The 31-year-old wrote:
Yes my family are all in Umbria, but they are fine. Thank you for your concern. https://t.co/T1ZEa9WIsy

The Smile musician later clarified on Twitter:
Had to leave my family holiday in Umbria early to come home for a funeral. Such sad scenes but feeling blessed that my lot are all ok x
