On Monday afternoon, Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a new campaign image out to his followers that directly compared the Syrian refugee crisis to a bowl of Skittles.
Not even joking.

Thankfully, the good folks who make Skittles had an incredible response to the offensive, ridiculous meme. Vice President of Corporate Affairs Denise Young said in a statement:
“Skittles are candy. Refugees are people. We don’t feel it’s an appropriate analogy. We will respectfully refrain from further commentary as anything we say could be misinterpreted as marketing.”
So smart!! And respectful!!
Besides, Skittles didn’t need to wade into the reactions, anyways — Twitter was quickly, relentlessly calling out Baby Donald for his absurd tweet (below):
