Oh, thank goodness!
On Tuesday, Jamie Lynn Spears‘ husband, Jamie Watson, took to Instagram to give a happy update on how his stepdaughter Maddie Aldridge is doing following her scary ATV accident.

Of course, this update comes shortly after the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Department revealed the eight-year-old was now “awake and talking.” In case you forgot, the little one practically drowned after her Polaris ATV flipped over on Sunday. It’s said Maddie was submerged in a lake for several minutes before she was rescued, resuscitated, and airlifted to a hospital. So intense!
While we’re thrilled to hear that Maddie’s doing okay, we doubt we’re done talking about this accident as reports claims the youngster was far too young to be driving the vehicle. Oof.
Nonetheless, we’re wishing Maddie only the speediest of recoveries!
