Betsy DeVos has gotten a lot of heat since being appointed as Donald Trump‘s Education Secretary.
Aside from her lack of education experience, critics have accused the Republican party activist of buying her way into the cabinet, as she has donated millions of dollars to the GOP over the years.
Because there’s no logical reason to back the appointment of this billionaire with no public service record, Devos’ supporters are grasping at some bigggg straws.

One conservative cartoonist tried to make DeVos seem like the a victim in this scenario, but in doing so probably made the worst comparison in the history of historic figures.
Glenn McCoy made a mockery of an iconic painting of civil rights icon Ruby Bridges, who in 1960 became the first African-American to attend an all-white public school in the south.
The then 6-year-old and her mother had to be escorted to the New Orleans school by four U.S. marshals due to protestors. The historic scene was painted by Norman Rockwell, titled The Problem We All Live With.
Well, now the problem we all live with are idiots like McCoy, who thought it would be appropriate to recreate the painting with DeVos instead of Bridges.
The worst part is that where the original art had the N-word plastered across a wall, McCoy replaced with “CONSERVATIVE.”
Come the fuck on, people! If you don’t see what’s wrong with that, you need to sit and contemplate your place in the problem.
After Twitter unleashed a frenzy on the syndicated artist, he issued a sort of apology for those who didn’t like his metaphor usage, writing:
“I regret if anyone was offended by my choice of metaphors, but my intention was to focus on the protesters being hateful and to open up a dialogue on this point.”
Okay, Betsy may have been blocked from entering a school building by FIVE protestors — but who in their (alt) right mind would compare this prissy snowflake to a young girl who literally had to risk her life just to get a normal education?

How the fuck can you compare Ruby Bridges to Betsy DeVos? That is so fucking disrespectful.

Betsy’s family funded the politicians who made it nearly impossible for little Ruby Bridges to get the education she deserved. Shameful. https://t.co/hbn5W5Q4Sb

Imma let you finish, but both Ruby Bridges and the Little Rock 9 had like 200 more protesters than Betsy and they still went in to school.

Betsy DeVos should take a page from Ruby Bridges’ book and actually walk into a school

Read a book, Glenn.
