How horrible!
During a Mardi Gras parade in Gulf Shores, Alabama on Tuesday morning, several teens were injured as a vehicle plowed into the marching band.
The SUV struck 12 children in total, ranging in age from 12 to 17 years old, and ended up on top of several of the students. Four were reported to be in critical condition at local hospitals.
A 73-year-old male is in police custody, and a full investigation is underway. The driver’s drug and alcohol levels are being tested; GSPD say they do not suspect criminal intent.
We wish all these students a quick, complete recovery.
