The CEO of United Airlines is NOT backing down!
As we reported, the Internet was shocked when footage began circulating of a doctor being dragged off a plane going from Chicago to Louisville because the airline overbooked the flight by four seats. After three members of the Chicago Dept. of Aviation forcibly removed the man, he was seen with blood all over his face.

On Monday, after the disturbing clip went viral, President Oscar Munoz wrote an email to his employees explaining the situation, as well as DEFENDING officials for following “established procedures.”
According to the businessman, when UA officials approached the victim and told him he was “being denied boarding, he raised his voice and refused to comply with crew member instructions.”
After they approached him a few more times, “he refused and became more and more disruptive and belligerent.” That’s when the airline called security and the scuffle ensued.
Although Munoz believes “there are lessons we can learn from this experience,” he stands by his employees by writing:

“While I deeply regret this situation arose, I also emphatically stand behind all of you, and I want to commend you for continuing to go above and beyond to ensure we fly right.”
