There’s one ongoing battle we can’t blame on Ares: the gender pay gap!
Wonder Woman is making a killing at the worldwide box office, having just cleared the $500 million mark. The Patty Jenkins-directed blockbuster is on such a good financial track, it might end up making more than Man of Steel or Batman v Superman.
So, it’s extra frustrating to learn how shockingly low Gal Gadot was paid to star in the hit superhero film!

Back in 2014, the actress signed with Warner Bros. for a three picture deal — Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman, and the upcoming Justice League — and was paid $300,000 per film.
That figure isn’t too bad in terms of the superhero genre. Chris Evans made $300k for Captain America, and some of The Avengers earned $200k for the 2012 Marvel ensemble pic.
But compared to her fellow DC Comics stars, Gadot’s payday is far from wonderful.
Why? Because Henry Cavill earned a healthy $14 million for the critical disappointment Man Of Steel, including box office bonuses!

But don’t give up hope yet — sources tell TMZ that Gadot also has “huge performance bonuses” for Wonder Woman and will end up with many times the base salary. Plus, she’s planning a “major renegotiation” of her deal for sequels.
Given the critical and financial success of the film — not to mention Gadot’s booming starpower — we think it’s safe to say the actress will receive a paycheck that rivals the Justice League boys for Wonder Woman 2.
