Rosie O’Donnell will do whatever it takes to squash the GOP’s tax plan — even speak in Donald Trump‘s language!
The comedian took to Twitter on Tuesday to offer millions in cash to senators who vote against the “criminal” tax bill.
Her tweets specifically targeted Republican Senators Jeff Flake of Arizona and Susan Collins of Maine, who received offers of $2 million EACH — in cash (!!) — from the TV personality to vote “nay.”

In her tweet to Collins, Rosie even specified that the senator could give her a call if she wanted to negotiate a number — but sadly, Rosie’s Twitter lobbying didn’t pay off.
Early Wednesday morning, the Senate passed the $1.5 trillion tax bill, with both Collins and Flake voting in favor of the legislation that slashes tax rates for corporations and provides new breaks for private businesses.
The bill will now go back to the House to overlook a procedural issue, and, with the passing of a revote, will head to POTUS’s desk.

Offering money to a lawmaker in exchange for changing a vote is technically illegal, but like all good lobbyists, Rosie quipped that she was really just offering lawmakers “a Christmas gift”… in exchange for changing a vote.
After the vote, the comedienne made it seem like her incentive was, in actuality, just a joke. Serious or not, it makes you wonder how much the votes of these senators are actually worth.
